2009 ORD Local Accountability for Research Meeting
January 13-14, 2009
Baltimore, MD
The VHA Office of Research & Development (ORD) is pleased to announce the 2009 ORD Local Accountability for Research Meeting. This coming year ORD will have one meeting for about 600 participants, instead of a series of smaller meetings. ORD will pay for travel for up to five representatives from each VA facility with a Federalwide Assurance (FWA). These representatives will include the following (please- no substitutions):
- Medical Center Director
- Chief of Staff
- ACOS/R&D
- AO/R&D
- Research Compliance Officer
The meeting will target the respective roles and responsibilities of individuals holding these 5 positions, and how they can work together to enhance their local research program. It will also provide an opportunity to network with others who have similar responsibilities, and with ORD and Office of Research Oversight (ORO) staff.
