VA audiology-research center selected to host NIH-funded training
June 19, 2007
The National Center for Rehabilitative Auditory Research (NCRAR), located at the Portland VA Medical Center, is one of three sites selected by the National Institute of Deafness and Communication Disorders to host a new summer research training program for doctoral students in audiology.
Each summer for at least the next five years, students will spend three months at NCRAR receiving training in research ethics and methodology and working alongside established audiology investigators on clinical studies in areas such as tinnitus and hearing loss.
