Biomedical Laboratory Research and Development
Biomedical Laboratory Research and Development (BLR&D) supports research exploring biological or physiological principles in humans or animals. For example, BLR&D research includes pre-clinical models and investigations of tissues, blood or other biologic specimens from humans.
BLR&D was created through a reorganization of the former Medical Research Service and is headed by Acting Director Ronald Przygodzki, MD.
