Executive Summary

VA is committed to providing Veterans and other eligible beneficiaries timely access to high-quality health services. VA’s health care mission covers the continuum of care providing inpatient and outpatient services, including pharmacy, prosthetics, and mental health; long-term care in both institutional and non-institutional settings; non-VA care, and other health care programs, such as the Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Department of Veterans Affairs (CHAMPVA) and readjustment counseling. VA will meet all of its commitments to treat Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), Operating Iraqi Freedom (OIF), Operation New Dawn (OND), and Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR) Veterans and Servicemembers in 2017 and 2018.
