Prosthetic Sock Management Tool (PSMT)

Prosthetic Sock Management Tool (PSMT)

Patients who use prosthetic socks often need to manage their socket comfort. Prosthetic Sock Management Tool (PSMT) allows for patients to understand when and how to make adjustments to their lower limb prosthetics, for example by adjusting sock ply when residual limb volume fluctuates. Additionally, PSMT allows clinicians to educate patients on self-diagnosing and recognizing symptoms that require sock adjustment. PSMT contains a carrying case to organize prosthetic socks by fly as well as a self-diagnostic graphic on how to manage sock comfort.

PSMT was developed by Billie Slater in the Minneapolis VA and is exclusively licensed to Clothier Design Source, LLC.
