DESCRIPTION (provided by applicant): We recently identified and characterized small KCa (mSKCa) channels in the inner mitochondrial membrane (IMM) of guinea pig and human cardiac myocytes. A related class channel is the big mBKCa channel found in cardiac myocytes and other cell types.
