The objective of this application is to determine the burden of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) among patients receiving primary care at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) health care system. NAFLD affects an estimated 20%-30% of the adult non-VA US population and is projected to become the main cause of end- stage liver disease in the next 10 years.
