Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most prevalent neurodegenerative disease of aging, with one in eight older Americans diagnosed with AD. It is also the most frequently diagnosed type of dementia within the Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical System, and one of the major causes of morbidity and mortality among veterans.
