Background: Approximately 11,000 Veterans present to a Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) annually with ischemic stroke/transient ischemic attack (TIA). Effective secondary stroke/TIA prevention includes delivering timely, guideline-concordant management of vascular risk factors.
