SUMMARY/ABSTRACT Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) represents a spectrum of pathologies ranging from simple steatosis to non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH – steatosis with hepatocellular injury) with or without fibrosis.
