Research Equipment Quick Use Initiative Program (REQUIP)

REQUIP is responsible for redistribution of quality, excess, nonexpendable research equipment. Research laboratories that no longer have a need for functional equipment can post a picture and description of the equipment on the REQUIP website. The listing will be removed after 45 days. Only equipment posted on this website under "Lab Equipment List" or "Animal Care Equipment List" is available through REQUIP. The REQUIP program does not accept requests for desired equipment that is not already listed on the website, and it does not maintain an inventory of equipment at various VA medical centers.

This program includes all usable, nonconsumable research equipment (acquisition cost $5,000 or greater) including equipment for the care and use of animals. Ordinary computers and accessories are excluded from the Program except those that are required for use with certain software in the performance of specific research studies.
